About

Dr. Toyne earned her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University in 2010.  She then completed a one-year internship at Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center.  The internship's focus on emergency care taught her triage skills and how to communicate with clients under stressful situations.  She was also fortunate to learn a good deal about ophthalmology and internal medicine which comes in handy in general practice.

She followed her internship with nine years in community practice in New Mexico and Colorado.  She honed many skills during those years including client communication and leadership.  She is also trained in laparoscopic surgery.  An accomplishment she is proud of is leading her hospital to achieve AAFP Feline Friendly certification.  One aspect of community practice she enjoys is connecting with the lovely people in the community - both clients and staff members. She is enjoying meeting many of the people in the veterinary community here in the Gallatin Valley.

Dr. Toyne and her husband moved to Montana to be near her husband's family and they look forward to hiking with their dogs, Star and Lizzy, and raising a family.  Dr. Toyne has been providing relief services in Montana since 2020.  She will soon be licensed to practice in Oklahoma and looks forward to providing relief in Green Country while spending time with her family.
